"Nona"

When I was twenty-one years old, I met my grandma for what
seemed like the first time. She didn't like being called "abuela"
(Spanish for grandmother) so my cousins called her "nona" which is
Italian for grandmother. Or they called her "mamá" which is Spanish
for mom. These were sweet nicknames and I've never been good with
sweet nicknames.
